The startups in our portfolio are solving global challenges and positively impacting millions of lives. There are, however, many more technologies that can be leveraged to address critical environmental, health and societal challenges. In 2015, the United Nations set 17 “Sustainable Development Goals” (SDGs). The goals are broad and interdependent and cover social and economic development issues, including poverty, hunger, health, education, climate change, gender equality, water, sanitation, energy, urbanization, environment and social justice.
